Making Changes to Delivery Routes


As you take on more customers and as some customers leave, you will probably need to make changes to your delivery routes. You may also find that you want to make changes to increase the efficiency of your delivery drivers. In this article, you will learn how to rearrange stops, remove stops, and add stops to an existing delivery route.


Before getting started

  • You must have an existing delivery route

  • If you normally use the Workflows Navigation Menu, click ‘Activities’ under the menu on the left-hand side of the screen


Rearranging stops

  1. In the Activities Navigation Menu, click Administration and then click the Production tab

  2. Under the Production tab, click ‘Delivery Routes’ 

  3. Click Edit to the right of the delivery route that you need to change

  4. In the menu above the list of stops, click ‘Sort Stops’

  1. Press and hold the mouse button on the contact name for the stop that you need to move

  2. Move the mouse to drag the name to where you need it in the list of stops and release the mouse button

  3. Click the Save Changes button


Removing a stop 

  1. In the Activities Navigation Menu, click Administration and then click the Production tab

  2. Under the Production tab, click ‘Delivery Routes’ 

  3. Click Edit to the right of the delivery route that you need to change

  4. Click the checkbox to the left of the contact name for the stop that you need to remove

  5. In the menu above the list of stops, click ‘Remove Stops’

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button


Adding a stop

  1. In the Activities Navigation Menu, click Administration and then click the Production tab

  2. Under the Production tab, click ‘Delivery Routes’ 

  3. Click Edit to the right of the delivery route that you need to change

  4. In the menu above the list of stops, click ‘Add Stop’

  1. Under Contact, choose the new stop’s contact name from the drop-down menu and click the Save Changes button. You will now see this contact at the top of the list of stops in your delivery route. 

  2. In the menu above the list of stops, click ‘Sort Stops’

  3. Press and hold the mouse button on the contact name for the stop that you need to move

  4. Move the mouse to drag the name to where you need it in the list of stops and release the mouse button

  5. Click the Save Changes button
