Locking the starting order field prevents customers from editing the starting order value in orders. Stores may adjust orders by using the “Customer Adjustment” field within the order.
Steps
Go to Activities> Administration.
Click Settings.
Select Preferences.
Scroll down to the Order Preferences section.
Under Options, check the box next to "Lock starting order field for customers in interface."
Click Save Changes.
What Happens Next
A green "SUCCESS: Changes saved" confirmation banner will appear at the top of the screen. The starting order field will now be locked and read-only for customer users in the interface. Customers will see a blue message in their purchase orders that tells them to use the customer adjustment to change their order quantities.
Helpful Tip
Suppliers can still edit the starting order. Customers will see a blue banner at the top of each order explaining the feature.
